A History

The term "Nexilis" stands for things woven together and intertwined, hence why the Nexilis team established a central hub when the days grew calm and the otherworldly calamities took pause. With their duties shelved, four friends brought their unique skills and hobbies together to create a tavern space for travelers, fellow adventurers, and yes-- fishers.From the familiar sights of Limsa Lominsa to the ports of Kugane and all seas
in-between, Loch, Cod, and Barrel celebrates the sea, its bounty,

Nexilis Games

Of Stories and Game Masters

Nexilis Games began as a branch of the Thesperience Productions entertainment and activism team. Our goal has always been to tell fun stories and entertain as well as create safe and engaging spaces for marginalized groups wherever we plant our roots.The Nexilis FC was originally created for building stories from our
Dungeons and Dragons and TTRPG characters. Something simple for our enjoyment has grown into the FFXIV roleplay community and we decided, as a group, to invite others to share in that sense of adventure and storytelling along with us.-------------------------Loch, Cod, and Barrel is our first foray into hosting a venue, so please come along on this journey with us as we learn and develop our little passion project into something we can all truly call a Nexus of creative minds, unique characters, and community.

Amir Paxton

Amir is Loch, Cod, and Barrel's resident host. He is the venue's sunshine on a cloudy day and hopes to bring that little slice of home with him wherever he goes. While he isn't a fisherman by trade, he does enjoy a good fish pie and will gladly listen to any sea-worthy tales of daring-do and adventure.
If you're ever lost in the crowd, seek out Amir and he'll make you feel like family.

Resident Fisherman

Claudius Feld
(He/Him)

Claudius is a well-traveled ace of the sea and is a master bait-- caster. Loch, Cod, and Barrel wouldn't be what it is without his knowledge and expertise on the creatures of the deep and he continues to broaden his horizons along with his list of notable catches. If you're interested in exciting tales of close calls and triumphs over the star's most notorious hauls, he's your man.

Baby Nunya
(He/Him)

Baby is a man of mystery. No one's entirely sure where he got his business credentials (or... cooking credentials for that matter). If nothing else, he's dedicated to putting a heaping serving of something onto your plate. From the edible to the questionable, Baby has you covered and can turn just about any catch into a truly unforgettable experience.

Venue Maintenance

Magne Paxton
(He/Him)

Magne might not look it, but his maintenance skills have made Loch, Cod, and Barrel seaworthy and continue to keep her afloat. From keeping the icebox stocked with fresh produce to keeping the tavern safe and secure, this mountain of man continues to stay busy. However, entice him with a good tale (or a bite to eat) and he's as good as hooked.

On Baby's travels, he once stumbled across a mysterious purple juice.
Upon its discovery, he immediately grew thirsty. Without knowing
what the drink consisted of or where it came from, he took a sip.Since that day, the mysterious juice has begun to appear in small
batches throughout the tavern's stock. No one knows how or why
it came to be there, but it's on the menu... should you feel confident.

Rules

Request an order of 'We Found it This Way' and the bartender will
GM a series of random rolls. Your luck will determine your
success (or failure) at the hands of this cryptic drink.

The Ever-Burning Soup
CHALLENGE

The Namazu are a sneaky bunch of creatures, but they have blessed
Loch, Cod, and Barrel in its business endeavors ever since
it first dropped anchor on the shores of Kugane.Their gift to the Nexilis crew was a pot of soup, carried for malms
over a carefully tended fire. How they managed to do all of this
is beyond us.Along with there gifts were these words of blessing:"So long as the soup is served,
Your pockets shall never empty,
Your stomachs shall never hunger,
and your fires shall never burn out."To this day, the pot of soup has never stayed empty, and the
fire beneath it continues to rage.However, the taste of the soup continues to shift with every bowl.How will your serving treat you?

Rules

Request an order of 'The Ever-Burning Soup' and the bartender
will GM a series of random rolls. Your luck will determine the flavor,
texture, and possible side effects of your given bowl of soup.
